Contemporary Architecture and Sustainability: Tema Sinergie Headquarters Project Receives the Top Award at TEMPLUM 2026

26 May 2026

The “Tema Sinergie Headquarters Regeneration and Expansion” project, designed by Architect Maura Cantagalli, received the prestigious AUREUM TEMPLUM 2026 AWARD as part of the third edition of the PREMIO TEMPLUM | ARCHITETTITALIANI, ranking first among all projects selected nationwide.

The award ceremony took place on May 20, 2026, in the historic Sala della Protomoteca at the Capitoline Hill in Rome, in the presence of representatives from institutions, academia, professional organizations, and the business community. The initiative, promoted by the Associazione culturale Liber in collaboration with publisher RDE, received the official patronage of the Italian Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, Ministry of Environment and Energy Security, and the National Council of Architects, Planners, Landscape Architects and Conservators (CNAPPC). The event celebrated the best Italian experiences in contemporary architecture, urban regeneration, and sustainable innovation.

The project dedicated to the Tema Sinergie headquarters, in addition to being selected as the winning project for the Emilia-Romagna region, was chosen among the twenty projects awarded nationwide and granted the AUREUM TEMPLUM, the highest recognition of the 2026 edition awarded to the project ranked first overall at national level.

According to the jury, the project stood out for its “architectural excellence, design innovation, and ability to reinterpret the relationship between architecture, territory, and sustainability through a contemporary lens.”

For Tema Sinergie, this recognition represents much more than an architectural award: it confirms a corporate vision focused on sustainable growth, enhancement of working environments, and the harmonious integration of industrial innovation with the surrounding territory.

The headquarters regeneration and expansion project was conceived with the aim of transforming the production site into a modern, efficient environment capable of concretely reflecting the company’s core values: innovation, quality, attention to people, and responsibility toward the future.

A key role in the development of the project was played by Cefla Engineering, the technical partner involved in the implementation of the intervention. Thanks to its expertise in the design of complex technological systems, energy efficiency solutions, and the management of highly innovative industrial projects, Cefla Engineering contributed to creating an infrastructure capable of combining functionality, sustainability, and architectural quality.

The project was developed around four fundamental pillars:

  • Urban regeneration, through the enhancement and renewal of existing spaces;
  • Energy performance, with solutions focused on efficiency and sustainability;
  • Comfort and well-being, to create modern, functional, and people-oriented working environments;
  • Architectural identity, capable of visually expressing Tema Sinergie’s values and vision.

The importance of the project will be further highlighted in the upcoming publication of ARCHITETTITALIANI – III Edition, where the “Tema Sinergie Headquarters Regeneration and Expansion” project will appear on the front cover dedicated to the winner of the AUREUM TEMPLUM 2026.

Tema Sinergie would like to thank Architect Maura Cantagalli, Cefla Engineering, and all the professionals involved in the project, whose contribution helped transform an architectural vision into a space capable of concretely representing the company’s identity and future.
