AB-PTC Walk-in Pass
Active Bio-decon Walk-in Pass-Through Chambers are pass boxes that enable the aseptic transfer of materials within cleanrooms.
Materials are sterilized inside the pass-through chambers using an integrated bio-decontamination system.

Key Features and Functions
The AB-PTC ensures the highest air quality in the isolated environment thanks to:
– a specially designed filtration system consisting of HEPA (H14) supply and exhaust filters;
– HYPER, the integrated vapor-phase hydrogen peroxide (VPHP) bio-decontamination system from Tema Sinergie, for very rapid bio-decontamination cycles;
– inflatable seals made of FDA-approved white silicone.
The chamber’s integrated ventilation system ensures a pressure gradient between the adjacent rooms and the chamber itself. This gradient preserves the aseptic integrity of the materials after the biocontamination process is complete, prior to removal from the cleanroom.
Maximizing operator protection is a fundamental aspect of handling organisms from BSL-1 to BSL-4. AB-PTC ensures the highest level of safety thanks to the following features:
– HYPER, an integrated VPHP system for decontaminating materials before they are removed from the BSL facility;
– a pressure control strategy to prevent air backflow between BSL and non-BSL areas;
– bio-sealed doors and gaskets to prevent any leakage between BSL and non-BSL areas.
AB-PTC is therefore the ideal adaptable solution for decontaminating equipment and materials before they are removed from a BSL facility, preventing the escape of potentially hazardous organisms into external areas.
The AB-PTC is equipped with an automatic leak-test system that can be performed routinely; it runs an independent cycle on each chamber in accordance with the pressure-varying method described in ISO 10648-2:1994(E), section 5.2.
An external control module made of AISI 304 stainless steel, housing the electrical and pneumatic components, provides direct access for all maintenance operations. A Virtual Private Network (VPN) connection enables secure and private communication over the Internet, allowing for remote access, support, updates, and maintenance at any time, from anywhere.

Data Management
The AB-PTC can also be upgraded with an integrated Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system—iFIX with GE Digital’s Historian Data Management Software (DMS).
DataWall, a software application developed by Tema Sinergie for data management, is also available upon request.
