VI
VI
The visual inspection and labeling systems are automatic machines designed to inspect filled vials.
They are stand-alone units designed to be placed inside the working area of hot cells.
VI is available in various models, ranging from the inspection unit alone, to the version with an integrated labeling unit, up to the version with an additional printing and labeling system that can be integrated into a technical compartment of the hot cell.

details that matter
Designed for Your Process
CRP Compact is designed to streamline a critical phase: the dispensing and capping of vials under sterile conditions, reducing manual intervention and batch-to-batch variability. Its value lies not only in automation, but in its ability to adapt to real production needs: handling of open/closed vials, different capping strategies, and customizable workflows.
In regulated environments, this operational consistency results in a process that is more controllable and easier to transfer between shifts and production lines.
- Customized workflows with dedicated kits
- Vial format change even between consecutive batches
- Crimp and push-fit management (depending on the version)
models
Three Configurations, One Flexible Platform
VI
Stand-alone unit for inspecting pre-labeled vials in a Class A environment— for all hot cells on the market.
VI consists of its own stand-alone unit, which is designed to be placed inside the hot cell in the main work area.
VI +
Stand-alone unit for inspecting and labeling vials in a Class A environment —for all hot cells on the market.
VI+ consists of its own stand-alone unit, complete with a labeling system, designed to be placed inside the hot cell in the main work area.
VI ++
Integrated unit for inspecting vials in a Class A environment, with an additional system for printing labels and applying them to vials. The printer and labeling unit are located in an unclassified technical area integrated into the hot cell.
Suitable only for Tema Sinergie hot cells; this must be discussed with the Tema Sinergie Technical Department during the quotation phase.

Additional Features
FRONT DOOR AND BACKGROUND PANEL
The Visual Inspection system is equipped with an automatic door that allows a single vial to be loaded at a time from the front. In standby mode, the door remains open; it closes automatically as soon as the operator starts the inspection, and the cycle begins. The door is operated by a pneumatic actuator and sliding guides.
A black-and-white background is installed on the inside, enabling optimal inspection by adjusting the color contrast.
Additional Features
VIAL HOLDING SYSTEM AND ROTATING BASE
The vial holder is equipped with a 3-point centering system to ensure the vial is positioned correctly. This holding system ensures that the vial is positioned safely and correctly during inspection at high rotational speeds. The holding system and the vial holder can be customized to accommodate the specific vial being used.
Additional Features
LIGHTING
The inspection area is equipped with LED lights, which are positioned on top, at the base, and around the vial to ensure accurate inspection using various methods.
The lights that illuminate the vial turn on automatically and allow for a complete view of the vial, both inside and out (glass, ring, label).
Additional Features
LASER POSITIONING
The Visual Inspection system is equipped with a positioning laser. When the vial is pre-labeled, the laser automatically detects the presence of the label, rotating and stopping the vial in the correct position so that the camera has a clear view of the vial to be inspected.
LABELING UNIT
The labeling unit is completely removable to facilitate label tape replacement and maintenance.
The labels must be pre-printed and then placed on the labeling unit. This operation can be performed in a non-classified area before installing the labeling unit in the VI+ inside the Class A hot cell.
NOTE: Once the labeling unit is installed, the Class A area must be decontaminated before starting daily work, in accordance with the SOP.
VIDEO CAMERA AND EXTERNAL MONITOR
The Visual Inspection system is equipped with:
– an internal shielded camera to view the vial during the rotation and inspection process;
– an external monitor, to view and inspect the vial. This monitor can be mounted on the swinging arm of the hot cell, where it is fully accessible to the operator.
Key Features and Functions
The radiation dose absorbed by operators is minimized through the use of Tema Sinergie Visual Inspection models.
They are fully compatible with the VPHP cycle.
Thanks to state-of-the-art electronics, all models can inspect a vial in less than 60 seconds.
The resolution of the image displayed on the external monitor is ensured by the high quality of the components.
The VI and VI+ models have very compact dimensions, making them suitable for use in various GMP-compliant laminar airflow hot cells. They operate completely independently of the hot cell and are connected to their own PC and monitor.
Power and compressed air are the only requirements for operation.
Thanks to their compact size, it is very easy to remove the main units of VI, VI+, and VI++ from the hot cell for any maintenance operation. A VPN connection (at the customer’s expense) is required: it is necessary for operator training follow-up, updates, and remote maintenance. Remote support via phone (help desk) is available to provide assistance to users.
