With deep regret, we announce the passing of Engineer Luciano Piancastelli, co-founder of Tema Sinergie and our President for 40 years.
Luciano was not only an entrepreneur for Tema Sinergie, but the very soul of a company he led with a rare vision, never losing sight of the pioneering spirit from its origins.
In a market often dominated by numbers, he carried forward a business idea that is now hard to find. His leadership was driven by an unrelenting curiosity and an enthusiasm that pushed him to approach every new challenge as an opportunity to learn and, at the same time, have fun.
What made Engineer Piancastelli a true leader for many of us was his deep sense of respect for anyone he encountered along his journey. For partners, colleagues, suppliers and customers, he was a mentor, always ready to listen, but also a strong leader, ready to chart the course in crucial moments.
Every year, at the end of our traditional “Red Jumper toast”, he delivered a speech to the entire company, never focusing on numbers or market indexes, as one might expect in such contexts. Luciano loved to return to the roots, telling every employee the story of how this incredible adventure called Tema Sinergie began.
Each time, the story would repeat, enriched with new anecdotes that emerged from his vivid memory. For many, that story was the most eagerly awaited moment: even those who had already heard it in previous years were the first to seek it out. In those words, none of us ever felt like just a number, but rather an integral and key part of something much bigger. It was his way of reminding us that, before technology and products, we are a family united by a shared history.
It is now our responsibility to carry forward these values, in which he always believed and passed on to us.
