Our History

For over 40 years, we have been driving innovation, setting industry standards, and solidifying our position as a global leader.

1985

The company supplies shielded accessories and handling tools for nuclear power plants.
Following the Chernobyl disaster in 1986, the Italian market faced significant risks. As a result, the company shifted its focus to the medical sector.

1990

In response to the needs of research institutions and the first nuclear medicine departments in Italy, Tema Sinergie began designing, manufacturing, and installing systems for managing radioactive organic waste, shielded doors, radiation monitoring systems, and irradiators for calibration.

1993

Thanks to its experience in the field of radiation therapy—including the production of shielded doors and radiation monitoring systems—Tema Sinergie has secured the distribution rights in Italy for international brands specializing in radiation therapy products.
This has led to the creation of a new business division: the resale of equipment for radiation therapy and medical physics departments.

2005

The global growth of PET (Positron Emission Tomography) is creating new opportunities, and Tema Sinergie is entering this market with the launch of its first automatic dispenser.
The company continues to invest in innovation and process automation.

2012

Tema Sinergie is recognized as one of the global leaders in the manufacture of shielded isolators.
The company has decided to expand its product portfolio by designing and manufacturing barrier systems, isolators, and integrated solutions for the pharmaceutical and biotech sectors.

2022

The company is growing rapidly, while the advent of theranostics is significantly expanding its target market.
A new business partner joins Tema Sinergie: the private equity fund Charme Capital Partners acquires 70% of the shares.

2023

The company is opening its first branch in the United States.
The office is dedicated to after-sales support, enabling our technicians to operate more efficiently throughout North America.

2024

In step with the company’s growth and with a team that now numbers more than 300 employees, the Faenza facility is tripling in size, reaching 20,500 m².

2025

Tema Sinergie is celebrating an extraordinary milestone: 40 years of innovation, dedication, and collaboration in the fields of nuclear medicine, theranostics, oncological radiation therapy, and the pharmaceutical industry.
