CMS60D – CMS60XD

The CMS60D and CMS60XD hand, foot, and garment monitors are contamination monitors designed and manufactured to measure gamma radiation and contamination levels on hands, feet, gloves, garments, and shoes caused by beta and gamma emitters.

They are mandatory instruments for monitoring personnel in nuclear medicine, radiochemical laboratories, and any area where there is a risk of contamination from beta-gamma isotopes.

Designed for Your Process

CRP Compact is designed to streamline a critical phase: the dispensing and capping of vials under sterile conditions, reducing manual intervention and batch-to-batch variability. Its value lies not only in automation, but in its ability to adapt to real production needs: handling of open/closed vials, different capping strategies, and customizable workflows.

In regulated environments, this operational consistency results in a process that is more controllable and easier to transfer between shifts and production lines.

  • Customized workflows with dedicated kits
  • Vial format change even between consecutive batches
  • Crimp and push-fit management (depending on the version)

Two Solutions

CMS60D and CMS60XD: monitors designed to detect beta and gamma contamination on hands, feet, and clothing in environments with radiation hazards.

CMS60D

Equipped with:

  • 5 identical GM tube detectors,

  • 2 detectors for hands and feet,

  • 1 detector for clothing.

CMS60XD

Equipped with:

  • 2 RXD 1000T detectors for hands and feet. The RXD 1000T detector consists of two independent channels for separately measuring the right hand, left hand, right foot, and left foot.

  • 1 RXD 270 detector for clothing.

Method

How We Ensure Contamination Control

Automatic monitoring of hands, feet, and clothing to detect beta and gamma contamination, supporting operator safety and procedural compliance in nuclear medicine and radiochemical environments.

Step 01

MEASUREMENT

The system sequentially measures the hands (front and back), feet, and clothing (using a portable detector) with automatic background subtraction: it measures the background and excludes incidental peaks not caused by background activity, such as the passage of radioactive syringes.

Alarm thresholds can be set as multiples of the background standard deviation.

Step 02

REPORT

At the end of the cycle, a report is displayed on the monitor and automatically saved to the archive.

Each measurement report contains the following information: operator, date and time of the measurement, alarm status for each detector, measurement value and error for each detector, and selected isotope.
